Casa Tomás is a four bedroom, three bathroom townhouse situated in a quiet location in Tavira in the Eastern Algarve. With a transfer time of thirty minutes from Faro Airport to our front door, you will find the start of your holiday as relaxing as your time in the property.

The house sleeps a maximum of eight people in two double and two twin rooms, all with built in cupboards for storage space and again each has balcony access. The roof terrace is the perfect place to relax on the sun loungers provided. The roof terrace gives excellent views across the Ria Formosa to the sea. In addition to the roof terrace, the property has a private patio area to the rear where there is a built in barbecue and our own lemon tree, perfect for your gin and tonic! A large lounge and dining room ensure that eight people can be accomodated together in comfort along with the provision of air conditioning in all bedrooms and the lounge and dining room. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would hope to find.

The town of Tavira is situated on the River Gilao which runs through the middle of the town before passing through the stunning Ria Formosa (a nature reserve protected by the Portugese government). The banks of the river are a great place to find restaurants and bars serving excellent fish dishes, in many cases with the catch having been caught that day. In addition to this, you should take the chance to visit the Market, where you can buy fresh fish, vegetables and meat from a variety of suppliers.

For the golfer, Casa Tomás is perfectly situated by being on the outskirts of Tavira, you will be entering the nearest golf course (Benamor) within five minutes from walking out of the door. Within a 15 minute drive and you can add Quinta da Ria, Quinta da Cima and the fabulous new course designed by Jack Nicklaus at Monte Rei. Monte Rei has already established a worldwide reputation, despite having been open for less than two years, if you visit, you will agree it is worth the green fee.

The Ria Formosa provides Tavira with a unique setting, a nature reserve with a plethora of wildlife, yet also with access to fantastic beaches.
